Stardew Valley Sells Over 10 Million Copies

Stardew Valley, which dared to ask, “What if Harvest Moon was still a thing and available on PC,” is fast approaching its fourth birthday. It’s well known that the game has been doing well, both because it’s sold strongly and because fan appreciation for the title has inspired content updates well past what would be a normal game’s lifespan, such as the inclusion of multiplayer, new buildings, cut-scenes, and more.

But you might be surprised to learn just how well the game is actually doing. It’s just been revealed by the developer, ConcernedApe, that the game has apparently surpassed over 10 million units in sales:

That’d be a damn impressive number even for a triple-A title, but for an indie game to manage it is damn magical. It’s a magic that’s shared through the comments on Twitter, as people thank the developer for the game, share anecdotes, and describe how the game has enriched their lives. It’s a wholesome experience all around, and I suggest you give it a look if your day needs brightening.
