Eric Barone, better known by his handle "ConcernedApe," recently posted on Twitter, celebrating the game's four-year anniversary since it's launch. He also reveals that he's already begun work on another major update, version 1.5.
"Thanks everyone for the Stardew Valley 4-year anniversary wishes. It's been a pleasure, and I look forward to another great year! Now that 1.4 is out on all intended platforms, I'd like to announce that there will be another free content update (1.5)..it's currently in the works!"
At this time, no details as to what we could expect were revealed, but Barone did respond to some questions on Twitter.
- There still will not be DLC or microtransactions for Stardew Valley. If you want to support his work more, he will have new games he releases in the future.
- Split screen co-op is not possible due to some technical limitations
- The PS Vita version was depreciated because the 1.3 update added some functions that require more processing abilities than the Vita can handle.
Eric Barone is the sole developer of Stardew Valley (UK Publisher Chucklefish helped with some netcode, to be fair). The game is available now on most major platforms.
