The much anticipated 1.5 update for Stardew Valley has finally hit consoles. Now Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox players can enjoy all of the fun, new beach themed additions.
The popular casual farm RPG recently updated to version 1.5 on PC. This update introduces numerous new features, including new farm land options, fishing challenges, advanced game options, and new end-game content. Unfortunately, due to both the development process and the approval process for updates on consoles, the update was ONLY on PC, until now.
About three weeks ago, game creator Eric Barone posted on Twitter that they submitted the update for verification by the console managers. This process usually takes about two weeks, but has been slower due to pandemic complications.
It wasnt until last night did Barone post on their Twitter, confirming that the update was accepted and that console players can expect the update any minute. With several hours since the statement, the update has been confirmed for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
Good job to everyone waiting to play the game on console. Having to watch everyone else have all the fun can be a bother. Now go and become the legend of the sea that you always wanted to be.
