Star Wars: Battlefront Open Beta to Strike October 8

Hold onto your hats, Star Wars fans (and gamers). If you're foaming at the mouth in anticipation for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, then be prepared to squeal... and be prepared to have your neighbors knock on your door.

Battlefront's Open Beta will begin October 8, 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will end on October 12, 2015. PC players can always begin pre-loading the Beta on Origin at 1 AM PST/10 PM EST on Wednesday, October 7, but unfortunately, it seems that there is no mention of pre-loading on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. 

I hope you're not blue in the face yet, because there are still three modes offered in dire need of explanation. Without further adieu:

Walker Assault on Hoth: A 40-player battle where you're a Rebel out to destroy the Empire's AT-AT's utilizing the Y-wing bombers. Of course, you don't HAVE to be a Rebel, but instead part of the Empire. In that case, be ready to defend your walkers.

Drop Zone on Sullust: More or less control with escape pods. You and your teammates need to take control of them. This mode offers 8v8 matches.

Survival Mission on Tatooine: This one, which can be done solo or co-op with a friend, is a test to survive against waves of Imperial forces. Are you able to!? Maybe!
