So, would you like to know an interesting fun fact for the day? According to official statistics, Chris Roberts' Star Citizen raised $34.91 million in 2017, a slight decrease from $36.11 million in the previous year.

Now, video game developers have raised a combined total of $17.25 million on Kickstarter, which is also a slight decrease from the previous year ($17.6 million).

In other words, Star Citizen alone has raised more than the combined amount of funding funneled into video game Kickstarter projects. Strictly speaking, wow.

Just well. Oh, and by the by, there were 700 Kickstarter video game projects during the two-year time period.

But the real question is, will we be seeing a release date soon? As of now, probably not. Squadron 42 alone, the single-player title, remains incomplete, and there is no release date.
