It... looks pretty good, actually.

So Square Enix has announced quite the interesting title... no, it's not related to the still-unannounced title that we'll be hearing about at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

I'm referring to the multiplayer mobile RPG Guardian Codex. Alright, so you might groan at hearing that this is a free-to-play game, but maybe a little bit of information might pique your interest. So Guardian Codex is an RPG, dedicated to the iOS and Android, offering console-quality graphics (think Mobius Final Fantasy here), a multiplayer battle system, and - most interestingly enough - a deep story, all brought to you by the same team that unleashed Guardian Cross and Deadman's Cross to mobile devices (from what I heard, both had mixed reviews).

But what about the story? I mentioned a deep story, after all. Well, according to Square Enix, the game will be featuring the ever-familiar "Guardians":

"In 2030, the world is split between the Empire and the Resistance forces. Players will venture into 'Codex,' a vritual world, with the mission to find the legendary - and presumed extinct - Guardians."

Quick, simple, and most importantly, attention-nabbing. To complement the information and the story is a trailer, so feel free to check it out if you'd like:

Currently, there is a pre-registration campaign you can take part in. The more who participate, the more everyone will earn. Here are the potential rewards:
