Square Enix Trademarks Parasite Eve

In Europe, anyway

So, fingers crossed that it won't be anything mobile-related, but Square Enix has trademarked freakin' Parasite Eve in Europe.

So what in the world does that mean? What can we expect?

Well, it could be a sequel to Parasite Eve II, the sequel to Parasite Eve, the hard-science, horror learning material RPG that launched into the world in 1998. Of course, there is the 3rd Birthday for the PSP, which didn't exactly have the closest connection to the previous two entries (due to licensing issues). There hasn't been news of Parasite Eve since, but fans have been clamoring since.

Another speculation? A remaster, which is far more likely.

But what I am hoping for most is a remake of the title.

Anyway, we will see what comes of this in the future, hopefully, sooner rather than later.
