Square Enix has a neat promotion lined up for those who've indulged in the previous giveaway of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn - which happened to be for Twitch Prime members only.

Well, for all Warriors of Light who have yet to venture past patch 2.5 (and own a copy of Final Fantasy XIV: Starter Edition aka A Realm Reborn), now is the time to continue your journey. Until June 27, you can add the critically-acclaimed expansion (and my absolute favorite expansion), Heavensward, to your PC via the Square Enix Store or PlayStation 4 console. Of course, while this means Heavensward is absolutely free, you may find yourself sucked into the point that you'll be purchasing the second expansion - third, if you count A Realm Reborn being an expac to the original Final Fantasy XIV - Stormblood before the upcoming expansion, Shadowbringers (launching on July 2nd, unless you pre-order, then you'll have early access on June 28).

You have been warned.

Heavensward, having launched in 2015, takes place just after the events of A Realm Reborn. The Warrior of Light journeys to Ishgard, a city-state rife with classism. Not only that but locked in a 1000-year conflict, known as the Dragonsong War, with the dragons.

Players will be able to access a great amount of new content, including new dungeons and areas, three new jobs (Astrologian, Dark Knight, and Machinist), flying, flying mounts, gear, trials, raids (Alexander), beast tribes, and a new race, known as the Au Ra.

Better yet is that this promotion coincides with the Free Login Campaign, which lets non-active players play for up to seven days at no charge until June 17.
