Square Enix Announces Secret of Mana Remake

So today has been quite the day for big news. We know now that Half Life 3 will probably never exist (I really should play the games), but now, you should also understand that today marks the announcement of the Secret of Mana Remake.

That's right. Nostalgia overload time!

Right, well, Square Enix has completely revamped the classic Secret of Mana title with HD 3D graphics and... wait for it... voice-over work. Oh, as for other additions, expect updated gameplay (hopefully with multiplayer-pleaaaase) and a newly arranged musical score.

Oh, and the best part is that the title will be arriving on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Steam. Looks like I have another Steam game to purchase!

This title, released in 1993, shone a spotlight on three adventurers - Randi, Primm, and Popoi - who attempt to save the world from the empire by reclaiming the power of Mana.



Oh, and those who preorder from the PlayStation Store will obtain special character costumes. What costumes? Well, Randi, Primm, and Popoi will receive the "Moogle Suit", Primm will have access to the "Tiger Two-Piece" and Randi and Popoi will sport the "Tiger Suit." Oh, and you'll receive three PlayStation Network avatars.

As for Steam pre-orders (or purchase the Day 1 edition within one week of launch), you'll receive the three outfits and a downloadable wallpaper.
