However, it seems that Sony has decided to--more or less--interfere with Twisted's work by announcing that it has been working on an official PS4 remote play app for the PC. According to Shuhei Yoshida, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, via Twitter:
"Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D"
Microsoft has already kind of jumped the gun there, having enabled streaming from Xbox One to PC via Windows 10. However, it offers no support for Mac.
So far, there hasn't been an exact release date yet for the remote play app, so Twisted should be able to rake in some amount of moolah before the app is released. Most likely, after all, this official app will be free.
Still, this is a better than the PlayStation TV, anyway.
Let's just hope there are official Dualshock PC/Mac drivers to coincide with the release, because so far, we've only gotten support of Dualshock 4 from individual games. And that Android release anyway? Well...
Too bad for now.
