Sony recently announced that they are charging up to $15 for SOCOM Pro which gives the player new weapons, unlocks new game types and "other perks" to be determined later on. This will greatly enhance the multiplayer in much of Sony's used game portfolio. While this is not much different than any DLC download you'd purchase via xbox live, one must wonder where will it end?

Will multiplayer be stripped completely from future titles? Is it greed or is Sony hurting financially?
