If you thought Five Nights at Freddy's was in your face before, you haven't seen anything yet. Introducing Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, a new virtual reality take on the famous jumpscare franchise.

Revealed during the Sony State of Play broadcast and detailed in a post on the PlayStation Blog, FNaF VR is coming to PlayStation VR, Oculus, and HTC Vive this April.

According to the blog post, Help Wanted is a collection of VR experiences based on the various Five Nights At Freddy's games made prior, but it includes several new experiences as well, according to Steel Wool Studios co-founder Jason Topolski.

He also explains that this isn't a simple port of the original games. They've modified or expanded on the original concepts in ways that seem familiar may surprise you in new terrifying ways. According to the studio, players have their choice of using the standard DualShock 4 controller or to use the PS Move controllers to interact with the game world directly.

We played a fan-made recreation of the first Five Nights at Freddy's game in VR. It was an entirely horrifying experience. We can only imagine how fear-inducing this formal, in-depth game would be.

Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted will release on PC and PS4 some time in April. It was developed in partnership with Scottgames (Scott Cawthon, game creator), Lionsgate (they're making a movie, don't forget), Steel Wool Games (they're doing the VR stuff), and Striker Entertainment (not sure how they are involved).
