Sony PlayStation Experience to Head to San Francisco This December

What do you think will be there?

Yes, indeed, the Sony PlayStation Experience is ditching the twinkly world of gambling for the Golden Gate Bridge. 2015 marks the year that PlayStation Experience will be held in San Francisco, California, for an event of press conferences, announcements, demos, and goodies. The new location makes more sense, considering the major game development culture there.

This year's PlayStation Experience will take play on December 5 and 6 at the Moscone Center at Moscone West, San Francisco, California. This year, there will be an "Early Bird" two-day pass special, which is priced at $60. However, you have until September 20 (or until they are sold out) to jump on this deal. The price after September 20 will be $75 for the two-day pass, $45 for Saturday, and $40 for Sunday. The tickets are on sale now--All you have to do is register (though it's recommended to register with your PlayStation ID).

Furthermore, there will also be hotel discount options for travelers. These discounts only apply to three hotels, so you better act fast before the rooms fill up:
  • San Francisco Marriott Marquis - $249 per night
  • Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Downtown - $209 per night
  • Hilton San Francisco - $179 per night
It's also great to know that the ultra-special Capcom Cup will take place on Sunday. But what's the Capcom Cup? Well, it's a big Street Fighter tournament that pits 32 of the world's best players against each other for the "real-life" version of the Street Fighter World Champion title!

Oh, there's a prize pool too worth $250,000. If you'd like to attend the exciting tournament, you need to either purchase the two-day pass or Sunday pass to be considered eligible for the official Capcom Cup VIP Package.

The VIP Package includes:
  • Front row seating at the Capcom Cup
  • Capcom-branded goodie bag
  • Exclusive access to the Capcom Cup After-Party, hosted by Twitch and Showdown.gg
Unfortunately, it's an extra $75 on top of the pass fees to spectate this tournament.

Seems like this year will be a bigger year for PSX, so hopefully we will see quite a few surprises there. You can check out the official trailer below, which details last year's event. Hopefully Wattam will be around for demoing!
