You can tell how poorly a game launches by how willing Sony is to issue refunds. A wave of Anthem refunds is being issued to players who are experiencing console-crashing bugs with the game.

There have been a number of reports online of both PlayStation 4 players and Xbox One players encountering technical issues within BioWare's recent action RPG that not only crash the game but the entire console, forcing them to restart it entirely.

This has sparked a wave of players going to Sony technical support, asking for a refund on digital purchases of the game. A common concern is that the game may damage their console. Sony has been more or less cooperative of the idea, refunding and removing the game in no time at all.

Other users have seen less success. Some claim that Sony denied the refund while others state that they were told not to play the game until a fix can be issued.

Multiple users are reporting that they are unable to power on their consoles after an Anthem related crash. Be careful out there.
