Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE), which has been a brand for quite some time, has faced rebranding and is now known as Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Tied to the rebranding is Andrew House as leader. The rebranding will use the same old logo.

And the first major product launched by SIE? PlayStation VR. Perhaps it will also soon launch the PlayStation 4K, but this Sony branch has been focused on several consoles throughout the years, including the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

So basically, SCE is shedding its past in favor of the future, and rebranding as SIE is just a side effect. But still, it's best to say goodbye, and say hello to future products that seem to entail more than just consoles, but VR and more! All it means is that a new chapter is over the horizon, and we're finally prepared to cross it.
