Gaming consoles are, like all technology, amazing when they work right, and capable of some outstanding things that would have blown the minds of people a mere fifty years ago.  But the key phrase in that praise is work rightand while we may all love our technology, sometimes it doesnt love us back.  Just one of many reasons why the PS4 is so similar to my ex-girlfriend: right along with being too expensive and giving my friends the option to play on it.

*ahem*

Point is, for the past month or so now gamers have been complaining about a very rare but extremely crippling bug on their PS4s called the CE-33945-4.  What causes this bug is a pretty big mysterythe leading theory right now is that you have to pre-order a digital game then call Sony customer support to cancel said preorderbut its effects are no mystery at all: it makes your system incapable of doing much of anything, from playing games to watching Netflix or even accessing the playstation network turning your PS4 into a useless, immobile piece of junk.  Not unlike my ex-girlfriend.

The good news, if there is such a thing, is that Sony recently released this statement;

"We are aware of this account issue that has affected a very small number of users. We are currently investigating the cause of the issue and have made progress toward a possible solution."

A months a long wait for some of the afflicted, but at least Sony seems confident in its chances.  For what its worth, if you happen to have this glitch and you dont want to wait for official means, some forum-goers say rebuilding your PS4s database can fix the problem, but its not confirmed.

But hey, they fixed the first wave of glitches affecting the first PS4s released.  This is pretty small potatoes compared to those.
