SkyDrive on the Xbox One Unlike Any Other SkyDrive Experience



SkyDrive is Microsoft's file-hosting, or cloud service that syncs with PC's and smart phones. There is currently a SkyDrive app on the Xbox 360, however this is news because Dan Somrack says the SkyDrive on the Xbox One is "unlike any other SkyDrive experience". Dan Somrack is the SkyDrive program manager, and he goes on to say "our goal was to bring you a simple, fun experience, so we focused our energy on photos and videos, which look and sound great on your TV".

This is great news if you use SkyDrive on your phone, as it will be easy for you to sync your photos and videos with your Xbox One. Also, if someone shares a picture with you on SkyDrive it will automatically show up on your Xbox One SkyDrive app, so it definitely makes it easy for you to view media on your TV.

Microsoft is marketing the Xbox One as an all-in-one entertainment device, and this is what the Xbox OneGuide is all about. OneGuide allows you to stream and navigate through media content on your Xbox One the "same way you would traditionally read a TV guide". It's supposed to make it easy for you to browse on-demand streaming video, watch live TV and even view media from your SkyDrive account.
