Haha, and you thought you could take split-screen away, 343i.

Wow, it's amazing to see a game launch on Kickstarter and receive ten times the pledge goal within the first few days, but it's more amazing to see the same results in a peripheral.

My friends, we have a solution to the loss of native split screen in Halo 5: Skreens. Skreens, which has just launched on Kickstarter, brings back the feel of couch split-screen that are being swept away by the sands of time... by time, I mean recent triple-AAA games like Halo 5. In fact, just last night, a demo of Skreens featured Halo running on two Xbox 360s, complete with native split-screen.

But you may still be scratching your head a little at Skreens. Think of Skreens this way: Xbox's Snap feature, but instead supporting multiple consoles and devices. It's also a great streaming tool, as the NexusFourPro can merge all of your tools into one. You can easily plug in your console, PC, controller, and high-def webcam into Skreens, and voila! You can stream professionally to any service in one fell swoop.

The same can be applied with your cable box. You can watch and game at the same time, though I would think that'd split your concentration in half. By plugging in consoles and other systems into Skreens, you receive absolutely zero lag. Nada. Which is amazing.

If you want to know more about Skreens and are thinking about supporting its Kickstarter campaign, feel free to visit the Kickstarter page here. At the time of this writing, $218,125 have been pledged, surpassing its goal of $25,000 eight times. This will certainly be funded, so if you're looking forward to it, you better prepare for its arrival!

Now I could see this as the perfect LAN party peripheral...
