"Who is Bowser Jr.'s mother?"

Many of us racked our heads over the baby lizard. In fact, for the longest time, game theorists pinpointed the answer to be Princess Peach. But some of us just weren't satisfied, though most of us accept Peach as the true answer. After all, she probably developed Stockholm Syndrome--Why the hell would she keep being kidnapped, after all? But Shigeru Miyamoto has kindly opened his lips--knowing the truth--to reveal the actual mother. Here we are sitting with our bodies leaning forward, eyes wide open, breaths held, as the question pops up on the screen: "Do you know who Bowser Jr.'s mother is?"

He reveals the mother with a simple nod, revealing the truth with a single finger point... to himself. "Princess Peach, you are NOT the mother." Instead, Miyamoto is. Don't question it, just accept the fact that he gave birth to Bowser Jr. When? Don't ask about that either. Accept it!

Though we can't find the official YouTube video at the moment, you can refer to this Nintendo of Europe Tweet (with the embedded video) here.

Guess you learn something new every day.

Here are the other questions centering around Mario myths, complete with "yes or no" answers:

"Is Mario named after former Nintendo of America warehouse landlord Mario Segale?"

Yes.

"Is the Mario shown on the original Super Mario Bros. packaging about to lose a life?"

No.

"Would you let Dr. Mario operate on you?"

Frantically no. (AKA Heeellllll no.)

"Was Super Mario Bros. 3 all just a performance?"

Yes.

"When Bob-ombs perish, do they turn into boos?"

No.

Does Mario break blocks with his fist?

Yes.

Are any of your courses featured in Super Mario Maker?

No. "I'm not in there, but I will definitely post something."

These answered myths are all in celebration of the upcoming release of Super Mario Maker, heading to the Wii U September 11, 2015. Is this featured on your "to own" list?
