Shenmue 3 has been chugging along for a while now, and it seems like most of the news surrounding the most successful Kickstarter ever has been bad, as of late. To combat this, the developer has released the first two games in the series on PC recently (which was frankly overdue), and released a brand-new trailer for the third game, giving us a much-needed, if brief, look at this world that’s been decades in the making.
It’s a bit choppy at times and the graphics clearly need refining, but it’s better than the last trailer we saw by a great margin. It’s also, even more importantly, accompanied by a release date: coming August 27th, 2019.
Will it actually release that day? Probably not. Delays being what they are these days. But it’s still a good day to mark on your calendar if you’re a fan.
