Shaun White Snowboarding is Amped Replacement?



I recently discovered that there's finally a new snowboarding game coming to the xbox 360 titled Shaun White Snowboarding. It's been nearly 3 years since the last iteration in Amped 3 which in my opinion was an utter failure. Sure it had a cute, albeit sometimes too whacky of a story but the physics of the game, the tricks, the point system were all out of whack. Just google "amped 2" and you'll find several forums in which people talk of it still being better than the 3rd.

I was a huge fan of the Amped series in general. It begun with the first game and then Amped 2 came along and blew my mind. Sure they changed the controls but in a good way, it was more intuitive and you could be more versatile with your tricks. The graphics in Amped 2 seemed almost better at times than 3 and it was a generation behind system wise.

Hopefully Shawn White will give Amped fans something to cheer about since the trailers I've seen actually have graphics that match the system it's on finally and there's not all the clutter and extensive Animation that plagued Amped 3.

Shaun White Snowboarding is due out sometime this fall and I'll defiantly be purchasing a copy!
