Fairly recently, we had heard about progress on Shadow Moses, the Metal Gear Solid remake that looked rather excellent, by the way. Since the trailer, people became super hyped for the release. It even seemed as if Konami was on board for the project, but in a recent Facebook post, the ambitious project suddenly received a cancellation hammer. Here's what the post said:
"We have to cancel the Shadow Moses project for reasons beyond our control. We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support we have received."
Well, this is in fact disheartening, and if Konami is behind the cancellation, then this probably has earned them more flaming points rather than brownie points. And frankly, Konami actually has done a lot to earn itself a bad reputation among fans. Well perhaps, the cancellation is foreshadowing to a true remaster, which may already be in the works. We have to have our doubts somehow.
Either way, apparently the Shadow Moses Project team does have some other news heading our way, so we will just have to be patient to find out.
