There are a ton of indie games out there, so it's difficult for an indie title to stand out. One in particular that stood out for me was Always Sometimes Monsters, released back in 2014 and dealt with a lot of modern adult theme such as breakups, poor decisions, discrimination, and more. It was a clever game, one with a deep story, but the gameplay a little repetitive after a point, almost becoming frustratingly so. However, the developer Vagabond Dog are continuing the saga with Sometimes Always Monsters.

According to Vagabond Dog:

Sometimes Always Monsters is "the other side of the same journey." It begins with a rather happy beginning--the protagonist is married and quite successful rather than a loser, then possibly ends up losing it all.

"In as many ways as possible, the games are designed to be reflections of one another. There are many parallels between the two, but they are opposites more often than not. Everything about the game's setup and tone has been turned on its head to provide a familiar experience with a very different range of emotions."

Sometimes Always Monsters stars the writer on a book tour, and on the bus you end up choosing your pals and spouse. However, traveling all over and being famous can cause strain definitely. Sometimes Always Monsters will release sometime soon. You can pre-order the game from the official site for $15.00, but you can check it out--though you can't pre-order it--on Steam.
