If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s a good old fashioned free game--so imagine how excited I must be when I discovered there isn’t just one free game available for grabs right now, but three! Pretty good ones, to boot!

The story is, Sega is currently running the third Make War, Not Love gaming marathon, where owners of their well-known and regarded strategy games, such as Warhammer, Total War, and Company of Heroes. As your play-time rackets up, you earn goodies--such as unlocking free games for the entire gaming world over Steam. So if you own any of those games, you should play it now for the sake of your gaming brethren! As it so happens, they’re also on sale right now over Steam.

Regardless. What matters for the rest of us is that to commemorate the first milestone, Sega has released three games to the public, to be free for download and keep forever. Those games being, Hell Yeah! (+DLC), the original Golden Axe, and the one and only Jet Set Radio, their 2000 Dreamcast Classic. However, this window is limited, so be sure to grab it fast!  You can download the whole bundle on the Jet Set Radio Steam Page, the Hell Yeah! Steam Page, and the Golden Axe steam page.

Oh, also, more free games will be unlocked as people continue to participate in the Make War, Not Love marathon: the next batch will include Streets of Rage II, Binary Domain, and Condemned: Criminal Origins. And if you manage to make it to the third batch, we’ll get Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops, and Viking: Battle for Asgard. All for free.

...You think they’d save the best for last, but heck, I’m not complaining. Regardless, the next games will unlock in about a day in a half, so be around to pick those up!

Meantime, game on, folks.
