Fond of Eddie Izzard? Well, if you're a fan of the down-to-Earth, outspoken British actor and comedian, you may want to turn your attention to his recent interview with Larry King on the Emmy nominated series "Larry King Now." In the interview, Izzard delves into his new PlayStation Network series, "Powers," and gives insight on his views on certain topics like terrorism in the name of Islam, Bill Cosby, and Prime Minister David Cameron.

As a quick overview, Izzard first described Powers, a ground-breaking series on PlayStation series.

The premise of powers is interesting. It's our world with powers shoved into it. but it's a detective story, so it's really about two detectives in the powers division who only deal with crimes done by these powers people.

He plays the character Wolfe, who "has four of these powers: super strength, super speed, I can absorb powers off other people, I eat them, I devour them in fact like an animal, and I also heal at ridiculous speeds."

He also explained to King why he was eager to enter the political world:

I'm kind of ambitious, I'm positive on people. I want me to do well, I want everyone to do well. I hate the right wing. I hate religious extremists and political extremists. And I think the vast majority of the world are with us.

Here are a few additional, memorable quotes from Izzard:

It's the idea of people having powers in this real cruddy world that we have. - on the concept behind his new show, Powers.

I'm straight. I'm like a male lesbian.

If it's true, tragic. If not, I'm confused. - on the Bill Cosby allegations

I noticed all wild animals are fit and so I just sort ofthought I'll do this massive injection of getting back into fitness. So I decided I'll run around the whole of the UK and in the end it took me 43 marathons over 51 days. So I just thought I'd try it. It was an adventure and it helped raise $1.8 million.
