Sagat and G Available Now for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition

God Bless the President of the World.

The Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition roster grows a little larger today, with the surprise addition of two new characters. Sagat, the classic antagonist, and G, the "president of the world" are both available now.

The announcement was made at this year's EVO, one of the biggest fighting game events around, by Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono.

Not much is known or understood about G. He gains his power directly from the earth itself, and has declared himself "President of the World" as a result. With magma-esque attacks, G fights to bring peace and togetherness to the people of Earth. Watch out for his Maximum President and Dangerous President V-Trigger moves.

We also see Sagat, the final boss from the original Street Fighter game. This long-time rival to Ryu returns with his signature Tiger Shot, Tiger Uppercut and Tiger Knee Crush move. Did I say "tiger" enough?

This also comes with King's Court, based on Sagat's stage from Street Fighter 2. Sagat and G are available now for $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money each. They're also part of the season 3 character pass, alongside Sakura, Blanka, Falke and Cody.
