That was fast. Remember that site I mentioned yesterday? The one made by the struck video game publishers in an attempt to flame the striking video game voice actors? It's barely seen the light of day, and SAG-AFTRA is officially moving to take the thing down. The move is hardly a surprise. You can't exactly insult your striking labor force (publicly no less) and not expect retribution.
Hopefully more civilized than this, though.
SAG-AFTRA claims for removal are all pretty standard. The flame site features the union's protected logo. There's also the whole thing where the domain itself, sagaftravideogames.com, is set up to look like an official site for the SAG-AFTRA union itself.
Part of the response from the voice actors was an official statement from the union's lead negotiator, Ray Rodriguez. Rodriguez criticized how the publishers spent resources and time constructing such a crude attack instead of actually negotiating with the actors to make a deal. And he's definitely got a point. Right now, there's no way the striking actors believe the publishers are taking their concerns seriously.
It seems like this whole ordeal is going to get worse before it gets any better.
