Rustbucket Rumble, which we have written a preview of awhile back, is officially now available for everyone on Steam. With the full unveiling of Rustbucket Rumble, developed by Reactor Zero (founded by Descent co-creator Matt Toschlog), comes the answer to the age-old question of, "What would it be like if robots ruled the world?"

Well, you'd receive a fast-paced PvP game of "capture the robot." The story begins with two competing corporations, Robotic Engineering Depot and Blucom, being extremely bored. So what do they do to curb the boredom? Host a competition of robots to establish dominance over the earth, which has become a rust-bucket. Oho! There's the title drop!

In the game itself, players must choose between six robots that vary in terms of weaponry and abilties and sign up for the RED or BLUE Team. You then challenge your opponents in a 3v3, arena combat match that combines classic run-and-gun mechanics with class-based multiplayer shooter gameplay. Robots must thus utilize their abilties to overpower their enemies and capture them to bring back to the base. That's all there is to it.

The best part about the game? The fee.

The game is Free-to-Play.

To delve in a bit further on the particular F2P model: Each week, two robots will be available, but if you're impatient, you can always speed up the process by winning 10 ranked games for the oncoming week with the robot you want to play with. However, if you're incredibly impatient, you can unlock all six robots by purchasing the Debut Bundle for $9.99. Currently, that is the only charge seen in the game.

In the near future, we will be giving the game the full review treatment, so look forward to it in the oncoming days! But for now, isn't it about time you rumbled as a robot?
