Rumors are rumors. Sometimes they may be false, but in the video gaming world, there is a good chance that the rumors would be true. This may be the case with the upcoming video game console, Nintendo's New 3DS. The New 3DS, which could be considered more of an upgrade of the "old" 3DS instead of an entirely new product, could launch in the next month. Though the date is a little soon, it would be most welcoming.
The rumor has been developed thanks to the NeoGAF photo released on the forum. The photo contains the picture of the red New 3DS XL, with the words "HAVE YOU SEEN IT?" and "Open a new world of gaming" written underneath. The best part?
"AVAILABLE 2.13"
Of course, this could be absolutely soul shattering if the release date is actually NOT for 2015 but instead 2016, but that is highly unlikely. The New 3DS will include faster processing power than the regular Nintendo 3DS, a C Stick for enhanced controls, Built-in Amiibo Support and NFC support, and face-tracking 3D. Though there is no confirmation on the release date from Nintendo, I think the photo is excellent proof. I guess we will find out possibly tomorrow when the Nintendo Direct airs. Until then, prepare to save a few hundred dollars or be ready to trade in your current 3DS for this updated, sleek-looking model that will support New 3DS games, such as the portable version of Xenoblade Chronicles, as well as backwards compatibility for the older 3DS games.
