The dust has settled - the shopping, for the most part, is over with, the gullets are stuffed, and thumbs are somewhat twiddling, waiting for the end of the holiday season. There are so many new game releases between now and then, but new releases aren't the only topics worth mentioning - though Final Fantasy XV will be arriving in a couple of days. Can't wait!
Anyway, updates - especially gargantuan ones - deserve mention. Such as Sony may have taken Black Friday by storm, having possibly sold two million PlayStation 4 consoles during the biggest sale of the year.
While Sony hasn't confirmed the numbers, Sunny Sanghera, Ubisoft UK's event specialist and team leader, has mentioned via Twitter that Sony has sold more than two million of the systems, citing Watch Dogs 2 to be a factor in the sales.
Then again, I think it also has to do with the PlayStation Pro performance.
"Over two million #PS4 consoles sold worldwide this week with a day remaining.... (That Watch Dogs 2 price promotion effect!)"
If this were true, then Sony may have the holidays in the bag... if we're referring to the Microsoft and Sony console rivalry.
There's Nintendo too, but... that's Nintendo. In its own little world.
