We've been getting a lot of rumors as of late, some more credible than others, but this latest rumor seems way more authentic than most, given that it came from - and was since removed from - the game's Facebook page. But you know how the internet is: once it's here, it's never going away, and some quick-fingered NeoGaf and Reddit users were able to save the telltale image and share it with the world.
According to this image, although it hasn't been reaffirmed by Capcom, the VR mode of Resident Evil 7, so largely pronounced in Sony's promotional material for the game, will not be a pure PS4 exclusive: rather, it'll be going off to other VR devices after 12 months, allowing other VR users the chance to get scared stiff.
Now, of course, we can't call this final until Capcom affirms it, but I'd say this looks pretty promising. After all, Capcom has a long history of selling 'timed exclusives' as anything but, and it would be pretty silly of them to hole away what may be the best Resident Evil game to date behind and exclusivity deal.
So rejoice, Oculus users: your time will come. Just not for a long, long while.
