There's a rumor floating around from Frag Hero that Read Dead Redemption 2 is in development with a planned release for 2017. The tipster also leaked that the sequel will be revealed at this year's E3 with a fall 2017 release date attached. The tipster, while anonymous, claims that the information was from a former Rockstar employee.

The game's full title will supposedly be Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West. It will also feature more than one playable character with a larger open world than the original. Also, HD remake of the original Red Dead Redemption is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Not only that, but this remaster will be hitting shelves by the end of this year.

Frag Hero declares that the information is reliable after investigating. After all, back in 2014, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned Red Dead Redemption to be a series in an interview. So hopefully we will see some action during E3 this June.
