Metal Gear is an iconic series. Everyone familiar with gaming at least knows the name. The series has had numerous games and even more controversy. Now rumors have sprouted up about the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection being ported to the PlayStation 4.
First noticed by Reddit User Naninho205. The Armature Studio website updated the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection page to include PS4 on the Platforms list. This would be promptly undone, but not before an archived version of the page was snagged. To further solidify the rumor, the title now states "Archived Game Content Coming Soon..." and a graphic of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has joined the other 2 faced on the image header.
Armature Studio's first game was Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. Their success would lead them to also develop ports for titles like Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate and Injustice: Gods Among Us. Their credentials and their familiarity already with the HD collection would make them the perfect choice to port to PS4.
These are purely rumors, mind you. While they make good evidence of a port, they only provide plausible speculation. Until there is an official announcement, then this should be taken with a grain of salt. It's possible an uninformed intern may have unintentionally made the change. Let us know what you think this may be.
