Grand Theft Auto V—some people loved it, some people really, really love it, and others didn’t love the story that much but still rather loved the huge world and open-ended gameplay.  It’s a well-liked game, is my point, and while Playstation 3 players are certainly enjoying themselves, there’s another community of GTA fans waiting for their turn to play: PC Gamers.

Rockstar announced plans to release GTA V for the PC way back when it was being developed, but announcements aren’t promises, and not all promises are kept: that is, if this alleged Rockstar employee, a man named Brad, is telling the truth.  Because on his official website he expressed concerns that GTA V will be canceled due to ‘corporate problems’.   He also said the Next-Gen version of the game, while in-tact, will be delayed.

Now that I say that, though, you’ll have to take my word for it.  Generally I’d link you to the source, but in this case, the website where he posted his musings—Rantic.com—has been taken down by hackers who are angry about the reveal that GTA V won’t be coming to PC.   At least, at time of writing.  By the time you read this it may be back up again.

Anyway, this is certainly an elevation of the news we got earlier that the PC version had merely been “delayed” to 2015.   And it’s certainly bad news for PC gamers, but even with the controversy surrounding the hacking… we don’t have any official word from Rockstar on the matter.  And, honestly, I doubt they would comment, but I’ll keep everyone posted.
