Rumor: Dead Rising 4's True Ending Could Be Locked Behind Paid DLC

Today is the release date of Dead Rising 4 - which has been unfortunately been overshadowed by the release of The Last Guardian - and according to Metacritic, the game is doing okay. Not the greatest, but not average either. If anything, it's above average. Unfortunately, there's of controversy lurking around, regarding the true ending and... DLC.

Well, the ending of Dead Rising 4 actually results in a cliffhanger. You can check it at your own expense:



Now, not too long ago, Capcom and Microsoft revealed the contents of Dead Rising 4's season pass. In one of the game's add-ons, Frank Rising, players will need to survive a zombie infection for a certain amount of time.

Here's the description:

"In this DLC, Frank West is harshly infected and needs to find a cure before he becomes a zombie and is lost forever. While searching for a cure, Frank discovers that everything is not the same as it was; zombies are getting smarter, people cannot be trusted and paramilitary forces are plotting to wipe out Willamette. Frank has a limited time before he reverts to the full zombie state and the city is wiped out. Frank will have to get to the truth first or die trying."

Though there could be other endings in the normal game, but the ending from the YouTube video, combined with the DLC description, kind of makes one wary of the fact that the ending is locked behind the DLC. Looks like we will just have to find out.
