Rumor: Dark Souls 1 Remaster Is Potentially Coming to All Major Consoles

The Nintendo Switch is receiving many awesome games and popular ports. We have Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and various ports, including but not limited to: Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and potentially Dark Souls 1.

Yes, a Dark Souls remaster is currently churning in the rumor mill, and it all stemmed from a tweet by Marcus Sellars:

"Bandai Namco will be hosting an event on December the 15th. 5 unannounced games will be shown off during the4 event. Nintendo will have a big presence at the event."

He later adds:

"One of the games being announced will be a Dark Souls One Remaster. #DarkSoulsSwitch #DarkSoulsPS4 #DarkSoulsXbox #BabdaiNamcoEvent"

Love the typo in one of the hashtags, by the by. Anyway, the tweet has since been deleted, but the hype remains. I would personally love to play the original Dark Souls on the Switch, considering I haven't had the change to play it yet on any platform.

I know, I know, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also see a Dark Souls remaster, providing the rumor is true, but for some reason, it's just not as exciting to see the title on the main consoles as on the Switch, and I'm a big fan of all three consoles.

We will have to see when the event unfolds on December 15th.
