Rumor: BioWare Austin May Be Working on a New KOTOR Title

There's a very vague rumor floating about, but it's one to capture the attention of Star Wars fans everywhere. Thanks to industry insider Liam Robertson, BioWare Austin is apparently in the early stages of developing a new Knights of the Old Republic title. Now let that sink in for a moment.

Robertson revealed this information during a Patreon-exclusive podcast, relying on the information from anonymous sources.

According to The Star Wars Game Outpost:

Ive learned now that [BioWare Austin is] pretty much now exclusively working on Star Wars games and theyre going to be doing that for the indefinite future. What theyre currently working on right nowand I have this on good authorityis a sort of remake/revival of Knights of the Old Republic. I dont know when this is set to come out, but it has been in development for a little while now.

Apparently, the title was to be a remake of KOTOR but has instead become its own game.

I dont really know how that game will end up. Ive heard that it isnt exactly a remake anymore, but it started as a remake/revival. Now its kind of going from that blueprint in sort of its own original thing. I guess well see what that turns out to be, but they are prototyping it right now.
