There have been several ninja video games slashing around: Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Pizza Girl, etc., but most of these games are focused on pure action and platform mechanics. However, TOMASZ WACŁAWEK, the developer who is collaborating with Devolver Digital, seems to mix up the genre of the ninja by releasing the turn-based action platformer titled RONIN.

RONIN, which has released today, June 30, on Steam, Good Ol' Games, and Humble, brings to you a heroine that attempts to stop five "prominent figures of a powerful corporation." The game beckons for strategic minds to plan each step in order to execute each powerful figure, who is heavily guarded at all times.

The heroine must utilize a variety of tools, such as her katana and razor wire, to guide her through 15 complex missions, but sometimes she may need to rely on pure stealth, with the usage of the holographic replicator and grappling hook, to avoid combat.

RONIN has been in Steam's Early Access, and, thanks to community feedback, has since added UI indicators, jump arc modifications, and more open-ended progression. The developer, has also improved the movement, combat, and flow of the game with the valuable feedback.

There are two versions of the RONIN available -- the base game, and the Digital Special Edition. Both are 25% off until July 7, but the regular edition is $9.74 (regular price: $12.99), and the Digital Special Edition is $14.99 (regular price: $19.99). For those interests that have been piqued, they can check out the official trailer below:

And if there are some still not 100% sure on the title, they can always give the game a try on Steam's store.
