Rockstar Posts New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer

Rockstar Games released a new trailer for the upcoming game Red Dead Redemption 2, and boy, does it have us excited. While only 1 minute and 29 seconds long, this trailer revealed more to us about the game than ever before.

After a showcase of the beautiful forest landscape, Rockstar Games made a quick and clear point to show us that Arthur Morgan, the player character, is an outlaw. You can see him blackmailing, strong-arming, killing, and robbing throughout the video. While the video description tells us that you are part of the Van Der Linde gang, the video shows us that there are lawmen in three different states trying to take you down. This is further solidified when you see snippets of scenes in forests, tundras, and bayous; These are to be presumed as areas the player can explore.

A close eye will catch what seem to be some gameplay mechanics that are expected to appear in the final game. Arthur can be seen using a bow to hunt wild game, and using a lasso to wrangle a horse. While the lasso is by no means a new feature, any information is still valuable. A classic method of killing in the original Red Dead Redemption was to lasso an enemy and drag them along as you rode away on horseback, a truly brutal act that would be very fitting of an outlaw.
