Not a lot of indie titles manage to get lucky, but apparently, Rocket League, the super popular soccer/car hybrid that invites hours of fun, has scored a revenue of close to $50 million, which is a rather unusual feat for an indie title.

Psyonix actually spent about $2 million and two years creating the game, according to the Wall Street Journal report, and the money actually came from other work on big games like Mass Effect 3 and Gears of War.

So it seems that Psyonix managed to make a big name for itself, and including cars like the Delorean and trinkets like the Vault Boy from Fallout 4 have probably only enticed people further into purchasing the game and the DLC. Either way, if you haven't somehow received the game, by all means, I wholeheartedly recommended it!

By the way, you can read the full story on the Wall Street Journal. It's pretty interesting.
