The critically acclaimed sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars has achieved yet another milestone, 40 million players! The game's official Twitter announced that the game had finally achieved the impressive player count with a celebratory graphic.
Rocket League released worldwide in July of 2015. Since then, it has won over 150 awards, been ported to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac, Linux and even Nintendo Switch. The game continues to be an influence today, having won one of the recently announced 2017 Steam Awards, something we also reported on.
Whether or not you are a fan of the game, it's quality is undeniable. Quick to learn, difficult to master, the game can be a fun experience for anyone while still providing a challenge for series players.
Congratulations to developer Psyonix for their massive success.
