It is with somber respect that we inform you that Robert Guillaume has passed away earlier today at the age of 89. Robert Guillaume died at home in L.A. from complications related to prostate cancer.
Robert has been in the entertainment industry for over 50 years, including a number of voice acting roles in video games. While most people know his voice from Rafiki in The Lion King (and its subsequent games), he played a vital role in one of the most acclaimed video games of all time - he was the voice of Dr. Eli Vance in Half-Life 2.
Robert Guillaume won two Emmys for his television career and would eventually receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work.
Our condolences go out to the friends and family of Mr. Guillaume, as well as to all the fans of his work.
