Rise of the Tomb Raider has unfortunately been so overshadowed by StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void and Fallout 4 that it just didn't stand a chance in sales. Personally, I loved the game a lot, from the graphics to the realistic tendencies, to the amount of tombs that are accessible. That said, it still didn't sell well. In fact, according to PC Gamer, Just Dance 2016 even sold better!
This is why shipping out exclusives on a console lagging behind the PS4 on the same day as a widely anticipated title is a horrible idea.
That said, the PC port may arrive much sooner than expected. According to our trusty site Amazon, the PC version plans to release on January 29, though originally, it was heading for PCs sometime in early 2016. However, that has since been changed to March 31, 2016, so I have no idea when it will be released. So more than likely, it won't be released in January, but instead March? Or just sometime early on in the year at least.
So with that said, hopefully the PC port will sell a lot more copies, but for some reason, in the end, it just may end up most successful on the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, that's not for almost another year.
I just hope it does sell a lot better. I definitely want the series to continue!
