Rise of the Tomb Raider E3 Preview Reveals Lara Battling Through a Blizzard

Just a couple days ago, we mentioned the teasing message of Rise of the Tomb Raider's info drop. Well, today is June 1st, and the wait for the info is finally over. It isn't nearly as huge an info-bomb as expected, but still has the power to send shivers down the spine and ripples through the nerves.

The E3 Preview trailer has been officially unveiled today, featuring Lara Croft overcoming a blizzard. Here's the full transcription, in case you're curious:
 

"Throughout history, the boldest have dared to go further. They risk death, and in doing so, live on forever. What drives these few to the ends of the Earth? The desire to discover something more? The search for something greater. The world is full of unanswered questions. Beyond all limits or reason, the answers await. For some, discovering the secrets of the world is the only way to live."

This short trailer is packed full of danger, curiosity, and carries a heavy theme of risk vs. reward. The world is dangerous, but to fulfill the curiosities brought by the world, danger or not, is the best way to live, according to Lara. During this trailer, she fends against a blizzard with pickaxes in arsenal, only to face falling ice above. She braves the attack and continues to climb, soon reaching the top in victory.

I suppose we can wait a couple more weeks for the release date and gameplay.
