Well, it's official. Both Gears of War 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration were released to the public just one hour ago. So far, both games have received stellar reviews and for those of you that aren't playing the games right now, let's see what all the hype is about.
For Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, fans have been going wild for the new content and the availability with Sony's PS4. The game was originally released for Xbox One and PC, but never made an appearance on the PS4. Now, it has its chance to wow the Playstation users. Rise of the Tomb Raider has all of the content from the original game, plus some added bonus content. The graphics have been improved, gameplay is smoother, and the storyline is still just as incredible. Reviews have been flying around recently, with the vast majority of them being an 85/100 or higher. If this game isn't on your list right now, you might have to reconsider.
Gears of War 4 has been the talk of the town recently as well. Some are even claiming that the game will be the savior of Xbox exclusives. Honestly, the people that believe that probably aren't wrong. ReCore was a total bust and Xbox really needs something to compete with what Sony is throwing out. The upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn looks incredible, and the hype for Gears has been pretty high as well. I even saw a SnapChat filter yesterday for the game. Either way, people are enjoying this game as well. The lowest review I've seen for Gears of War 4 is an 8 out of 10, which is pretty good! If you have an Xbox One, I would keep this one on the radar for the next few weeks and see if you can gather the funds for it.
Whether you have a PS4 or an Xbox One, there's a good game waiting for you on the shelves. I don't think you'll go wrong by picking up either one of these titles, and hopefully you all like the games as much as everybody else is.
