A lawsuit dating back close to a year ago has recently settled, awarding Riot, the developers and publishers of League of Legends $10 million.  Riot initially filed the lawsuit against a company called LeagueSharp last august, claiming that they broke League of Legends' DMCA  by offering players automated play (essentially an intelligent bot) and therefore an unfair advantage for a $15 monthly subscription.  LeagueSharp was essentially a hacking service that was spreading its cancer throughout the League of Legends community.

PCGamer reports that the case concluded in January, but LeagueSharp had until the end of February to shut down their operations completely, and shut down they did.  This is not only a win for Riot, but also a win for all gamers.  Botting/Hacking services such as LeagueSharp are a big problem, and in certain games, they completely infect servers, evidently damaging gameplay and the overall experience of said game. The settlement ultimately awarded Riot $10 million, placed a permanent ban on the software and gave Riot control of all LeagueSharp's websites and operations.

According to a report from Law360, Riot also claimed that LeagueSharp had conducted attacks against their servers, as well as helping players conduct fraudulent disputes on in-game purchases.  Riot claimed that LeagueSharp even went to the extent of threatening a Riot employee and releasing his/her personal information to the public.  I can't imagine how LeagueSharp thought they could get away with these cancerous activities but nevertheless, they got what they deserved and so did Riot.
