I am a major fan of Final Fantasy music. And no, I am not a Nobuo Uematsu fangirl that screams that only his music is the best. I love Uematsu's work, but I also absolutely adore Hamauzu's and Soken's work.
You can never have enough albums either. That is why I am pleased to announce the release of Final Symphony, a brand new album in digital format, courtesy of the music distributor X5 Music Group. The album is actually based off the sold-out concert of the same name, and features a variety of arrangements from Final Fantasy VI, VII, and X. The London Symphony Orchestra and legendary composer Nobuo Uemtasu join forces to create a luxurious album that tickles your ear drums. Mastered for iTunes, the album features brilliant conductor Eckhard Stier, solo pianist Hatharina Treutler, and the sound engineering team that has been credited for the scores of Skyfall, Avatar, and Lord of the Rings.
Nobuo Uematsu, who made his presence known in the studio throughout the recording of the album, went so far as to say:
I never imagined twenty years ago that I would be able to work with the London Symphony Orchestra. It's just wonderful that there are so many people who like Final Fantasy music; and to have it arranged by such incredibly talented people, Final Symphony is like a dream come true!
Thomas Bocker, the producer of Final Symphony, added:
This album is a once in a lifetime production. The world's greatest video game composer, orchestra and recording studio have all come together to creat something truly remarkable out of the amazing arrangements. This is the music of Final Fantasy as you've never heard it before.
You can purchase the album on iTunes or at other digital music retailers for a fee of $9.99.
