Respawn is Still Working on Star Wars Games

The force is with them.

Respawn appears to be the rising star in the gaming industry these days. Between their newly-announced Apex Legends esports league, Titanfall 2 being free on PS+ reminding people that they kicked butt long before they received acknowledgment for it, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order showing that they can still make a damn good single-player game even when not working with their own IP, they’re the studio to watch… even if they are unfortunately shackled to EA.

And if you were hoping they had more in store – then good news. Because new job postings imply that there’s still a lot more Star Wars coming from this studio.

Specifically, they’re looking for Senior Character Artists, Level Designers, and Senior Software Engineers for a “Star Wars Team,” whose goal will be to “create an incredible Star Wars Experience” in a “third-person action/adventure” game.

So yeah, we’re definitely getting more Star Wars games, and moreover, we’re probably getting more single-player Star Wars games, which may very likely a sequel for Jedi: Fallen Order itself, although a tie-in game for the enormously popular The Mandalorian show might not be off the table either.

Either way, this is all we really know, since people can be hired for a project at pretty much any stage of development.
