We’ve just announced a new update for the demo, the Twilight version update, which expands on what you can do and explore. The update will be available starting tomorrow, September 15th. That’s not all – this demo will be available for every PlayStation 4 user, meaning that PlayStation Plus is no longer required to gain access to the plantation house and dig in to the mansion’s mysteries. Now is your chance to investigate on your own, as both newcomers and veterans of Beginning Hour will be able to see what’s changed in the run-down rooms and decrepit corridors.
That's... interesting. I'm not sure I can ever recall the last time a demo got a content update, but then, demos themselves are so rare these days that I'm still impressed Capcom decided to even make one to begin with. What this new content could be, and what secrets it will reveal, is anyone's guess, but we're supposed to get it released later today, so, it probably won't be long before someone figures everything out and puts it on Youtube.
The rest of the blog is just selling the deluxe version, so the next bit of Resident Evil 7 news comes to us from Capcom's Twitter, where they're showing off some of the preorder bonuses we can expect from the game. Not very exciting, considering they're mostly just consumables like ammunition, medicine, and chemicals, but they also included an extra bit of happy news we can all enjoy, in light of the whole "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" debacle.
Here are the retail pre-order in game bonus items! But no micro-transactions will be featured in #RE7!
It is... really sad that counts as news, but here we are: there won't be micro-transactions in the game. Sure, there'll probably be DLC and stuff, but heck, DLC isn't a bad thing. At least we won't be able to buy more green herbs for $1.99 or what have you.
Just another reason to be happy Square Enix isn't publishing this, too.
