Fans of the Final Fantasy series understand that it's more than gameplay and story. Music has a really huge impact on the games. That element is so powerful, that a Final Fantasy orchestra has toured the globe for several years now under the name Distant Worlds. This year's tour hits plenty of hot spots around the globe. This includes several stops at major North American cities. So if you haven't had a chance to see Final Fantasy music performed live, this year may be your chance.

Take a look at the North American tour dates below.

February 3 - Omaha
February 11 - Montreal
March 26 - Seattle
March 31 - New Orleans
May 20 - Edmonton
May 21 - Calgary
June 3 - Salt Lake City

There may be more dates added later, but these are the official North American dates as of now. Unfortunately, they recently completed a show in New Jersey, so the US east coast isn't exactly represented in the upcoming dates. However, there does seem to be fine distribution across much of the area.

If you haven't had a chance to see the performance, it is a spectacular experience. The only thing more fascinating than hearing the fantastic scores from Final Fantasy blare out when you attack a boss is hearing the pieces live. Only a full orchestra can do these songs the justice they deserve. If you can't make it out this year, definitely consider putting it on your bucket list. You can get more information and buy tickets at their website here.
